BIG Shopping Centers HQ – Spatial Experience and Subtle Elegance

The new headquarters of BIG Shopping Centers is conceived as a carefully composed spatial experience, where light, materiality, and movement work together to shape the character of the interior. Designed as a shared home for two major real estate groups, the project balances scale with a sense of understated elegance.

Spaces unfold gradually, guiding orientation through spatial experience rather than explicit cues. The entrance area acts as the central element of the concept – a generous, connecting volume that visually opens the interior towards its surroundings.

The interplay of light and dark surfaces adds depth and layering to the communal areas, while restrained contrasts create a balanced and refined overall atmosphere. Integrated lounge zones introduce more intimate, human-centered moments within the otherwise open workspace

Overall, the interior reflects a balance between openness and comfort, representation and restraint, forming a cohesive and well-considered spatial concept.
