The Hotel Continental Zara Budapest**** is one of the outstanding buildings of the city’s art nouveau architecture. It got its present form from the merger of the Continental Hotel and the Hungaria Bath. Recently, we were able to participate in the design and construction of the renewed ARAZ restaurant.

ARAZ's fused Hungarian-French high-tech kitchen and its professional staff can now operate in an environment that is even more in line with the quality represented by the hotel.
During the project, we had to keep in mind the historical character of the building and the previously mentioned art nouveau features, which are combined with an art deco interior. This time the works did not involve interior transformations, so the focus was really on the furniture and design elements. The unique feature of the space is the harmony of wall panels, seating furniture, dining tables, and other accessories, which bring us a little closer to the early 20th century.
The dining and bar chairs of the Pedrali NYM family, distributed by the Basic Collection, and the sofa and armchairs of the Parla ATLAS collection are responsible for creating the atmosphere. The NYM is a modern, solid ash chair, the curve of its backrest fits seamlessly with the upholstered seat. In terms of comfort and lightness, thanks to the swivel base, it can easily be turned back to the right angle.
The ATLAS solid beech wood set played a major role in the design of the lounge. Thanks to the plywood frame structure, the furniture family fits easily into the space with its delicate curves and provides a comfortable place for discussions, family and friend gatherings, and, if given the opportunity, a pleasant lunch break.
The hotel and bathhouse on Dohány Street has a long history, all the way back to the 1820s. We have now become a part of this story. If you go there, admire the building a little bit!
