With a background in the fashion industry, Tommy Hyldahl spent years analyzing and forecasting future trends, which has given him a sharp eye for materials, historical references, and original design concepts. Much like in the world of fashion, the design process at 101 Copenhagen begins with a single idea that gradually unfolds into a richly layered story behind each collection.
Kristian Sofus Hansen – Designer
Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and influenced by years spent living and studying in Japan, Kristian Sofus Hansen blends aesthetics and simplicity with the heritage of Danish design. He translates these elements into the 101 Copenhagen collections. Primarily designing sculptures and objects, he draws from an endless source of inspiration, with the goal of creating distinctive and functional pieces that leave a lasting impression.
