This year again the Basic Collection team visited Milan to bring you the latest trends. We were again impressed by the 60th Salone del Mobile Milano. We’ve gathered some fresh interiors for your inspiration.

The last two years greater emphasis was placed on spending time at home, the comfort of our furniture and the importance of our belongings. We have realized how important it is to have a good environment, well-designed lighting or even the right seating. We rediscovered the importance of surrounding ourselves with beautiful objects.

The main decorating trend at the exhibition was embodied in variations of textures an d colour depth. The emphasis was on creating a close connection with the natural environment.

Colours again

Natural colours continue to dominate. All shades of green are prominent, but designers have also dreamed many interiors in rusty, coppery colours.

Colours are making a comeback. Deep green, salmon and powder colours complement the former monochrome mood, giving the interiors a lively and lush feel.

The boundaries between outdoor and indoor furniture are blurred. People want to enjoy the same comfort and freedom indoors and outdoors. Soft sofas are as much a feature on the terrace as in the living room.

Outdoor living rooms

Lighting plays a particularly important role in setting the mood of an interior. At this year’s exhibition beautiful designer lamps defined the spaces.

Sustainability and recycling feature prominently in the kitchen design, while there are also many beautiful new finishes and material combinations. Designers celebrate the beauty of wood, its unique designs that make a piece of furniture unique and irreplaceable.
