One of the strongest shared messages of Milan Design Week 2026 was how design is increasingly responding to human behaviour, nature-inspired atmospheres and emotional connection. This year, Basic Collection’s brands introduced several new collections and fresh perspectives. Without aiming to be exhaustive, we selected a few standout novelties from our manufacturers’ latest presentations.
The Morpho universe, created through the collaboration between Ethnicraft and Tomorrowland, expanded with new pieces this year. The presented world is built around warmth, tactility and natural transitions, where materials gain emotional depth and nature becomes a storytelling element. Soft textures, deep tones and layered surfaces dominate the collection, creating interiors that feel calm yet highly characteristic.
Audo’s new Harbour Lounge Swivel chair represents the next evolution of the Harbour collection. Designed by Norm Architects, the model combines its sculptural appearance with a new level of functionality: the swivel lounge design is both comfortable and elegant. Available with an optional return mechanism, the chair is particularly suitable for hospitality and public spaces where visual order and comfort are equally important.
During Milan Design Week, FIAM Italia introduced eight new products that further explore the role of glass within contemporary interiors. The collection examines the relationship between material, light and technological innovation through new surfaces and forms. Pieces such as Ogiva, Trivium and Onair demonstrate how glass has evolved beyond functionality into a distinctive design object with its own character.
Pedrali’s latest novelties continue to blur the boundaries between outdoor and indoor living. The Fibra daybed collection introduces a new level of sophistication to outdoor spaces with natural teak details and an architectural approach, while the Estratto aluminium coffee table collection explores the interplay between light and geometry. Alongside these, several new lounge, seating and lighting solutions were presented, all sharing the same focus on functionality, durability and refined visual identity.
S•CAB’s new collections revolve around the concept of the “rhythm of living.” The brand presented furniture that naturally adapts to the rhythm of everyday life while maintaining a discreet contemporary elegance. Sustainability and long product lifespan remain central to the brand’s philosophy, paired with a light and effortless Mediterranean atmosphere.
During Fuorisalone, Ditre Italia introduced its 2026 collection alongside the “Retroevolution” concept, a visual and sensory journey exploring the evolving character of Italian living. The brand’s presentation focused on the relationship between design and lifestyle, while the new collections further emphasised soft forms, comfort-driven solutions and timeless Italian elegance.
